Purpose and Scope
I intend to provide a means for my audience to know how Superman came to be, who he is, how he's featured in the media, and how he has affected (and been affected by) culture. This includes both reading-material and visual-formats. This website features books (fictional and non-fictional), various shows or movies, and articles. It will hopefully inspire or provide readers with new perspective.
Topic
Superman is an American comic-book superhero from DC Comics. Being around for 80 years, he is extremely popular and is considered an iconic-character. Possessing a wide-variety of super-powers, he fights crime while trying to inspire and uphold strong morals and American-values (and maintain his secret civilian-identity, Clark Kent). Not only has he affected his own "world"; he has had an impact on real-society, as well.
Intended Audience
Comic book enthusiasts and pop-culture fans will enjoy the comics, movies, and other similar materials offered in this annotated bibliography. Aspiring-artists will, too. The articles, books, and other non-fiction materials will benefit American-history scholars (especially the ones focused on the twentieth-century). All of these resources may also prove beneficial to writers, also (whether they write fiction or non-fiction).
